1. Six-Month International Business Program

Students who complete this program will have a better understanding of the successful management practices needed to compete in the global economy. Through its integration of the study of culture, economics, and world business, this program will provide the student with an active, hands-on approach to understanding the global environment. Course work combines theory and practice with an In-Company Training Program.

The In-Company Training Program involves analyzing a company, government, not-for-profit organization or an industry. The project enables student team members to apply what they have learned through the program to a real business problem or opportunity. It will enable students to gain practical business exposure and to hone their skills in teamwork, intelligence gathering, and analysis, presenting and selling their ideas.

Upon completion of the program, students will receive a Certificate of Completion.

2. Three-Month Intensive Business English Program

This course is designed to provide students with a strong framework of terminologies, vocabulary, written and verbal skills in order to be able to express the key concepts of business and economics in English.  We will use case studies, newspaper and magazine articles in addition to textbook units.  Students will have the opportunity to express business concepts themselves though verbal and written presentations as well as discussions and exercises. Upon completion of the program, students will receive a Certificate.

3. Intensive Business Management Program

The Intensive Business Management Program is a night program that prepares the students of today to be the successful managers of tomorrow, and enables them to excel in the international marketplace.  This Program also allows students to understand the challenges which today’s business leaders face.

The program also includes a Business Capstone Course, which provides the student with an opportunity to research a business problem or area in an integrative manner that puts to use the student’s knowledge of a number of subject matters studied in the first 3 semesters of the Program. It also sharpens the student’s ability to work on integrative activities such as a business plan, or a new system design for streamlining business processes.  The student will occasionally visit the firm, observe its business methods, meet weekly with his/her Project Coordinator at MIM, and weekly or bi-weekly with his Academic Advising Committee to discuss progress, possibly engage in case study discussions and academic workshops, and write a mandatory research paper on this integrative capstone project including applied studies in Marketing, Finance, Operations Research, or other business functions.

Upon completion of the program, students will receive a Certificate.

The Comprehensive Business Management Program was developed to offer students an opportunity to learn basic international business practices in the heart of the “Big Apple”.  This program will provide the student with an active, hands-on approach to understanding business concepts.  This program includes an integrated capstone course focusing on application of case studies to the nature, functions and activities of actual businesses analyzing objectives, policies, and performance, all in relation to the outside environment. Upon completion of the program, students will receive a Certificate.
