How to get rid of sweat stains

  • Baking soda paste

Against sweat stains on clothes, a mixture based on water and bicarbonate is effective: doses 4 teaspoons of bicarbonate in 250 ml of water. The mixture should be rubbed onto the stain with a toothbrush and left on for about 60 minutes. After the time has elapsed, rinse the garment with plenty of water and wash as usual.

  • Vinegar and lemon

Another grandmother's remedy is to use white wine vinegar or lemon juice. The chosen ingredient must be used pure, that is, without the addition of water. To remove the stain, simply place the garment in a basin with the product mentioned and leave for about 20 minutes. After the time has elapsed, you can rinse the garment and wash it as usual.
Lemon is also often used to remove the halos that the deodorant sometimes leaves; also in this case the stain must be treated before washing.

  • Wool items

Those who have to fight the problem of sweat all year round inevitably find themselves with this problem even on wool garments; in these cases, the typical halo is unlikely to remain but the bad smell that is absorbed by the fibers remains.
To remove sweat from woolen garments it will be necessary to pre-treat the affected area; for this operation we will have to use liquid detergent: just let the garment soak in soap and water for 15 minutes without rubbing, then proceed with the normal washing.
