Solar tulip, to prune energy in Ethiopia

The solar tulip it was designed to produce clean energy and is able to perform its maximum potential by bringing electricity to remote locations, not accessible to the electricity grid.

THE solar tulips they will soon be installed in Ethiopia, although they are already popular in other locations just like the Spanish municipality of Almeria.

To launch the project of solar tulipsit was the Israeli AORA Solar who some time ago, "planted a special seed "in the surroundings of the Spanish municipality of Almeria. The installation and commissioning work lasted seven months, the result of the Spanish work was a "yellow tulip" over 35 meters high. The particularity of thesolar tulipslies in technology: it is a hybrid thermodynamic solar system that after Spain and Kibbutz Samar it will also arrive in Ethiopia.

Thanks to the hybrid production system, the Aora solar Tulip is able to produce energy 24 / 24h and 7/7 days. Given its "verticalized" structure, thehybrid thermodynamic solar systemit requires relatively little space and certainly less water; this hybrid thermodynamic solar system is able to guarantee energy and heat production in a much more stable way than other systems withsolar power.


The strength of "solar tulip"Lies precisely in the hybrid system, a real" blessing "of the sector that allows to produce energy not only by exploiting solar radiation but also with almost all alternative fuels: methane, biogas and biodiesel.

This versatility allows a great variety of operating modes: from only-solar mode (when the sun beats strong) to hybrid-mode (solar energy is assisted by fuel, useful when solar irradiation is insufficient) up to to "fuel only" (during the night, where the fuel helps to generate electricity when there is no sunlight).

In addition to generating electricity with a capacity of 100 kW, the solar tulip produces as a by-product heat with a power of 170 kW which, in the case of Spain, is used to power a desalination plant. The entire system is easy to install as it offers extensive modular implementation options that allow it to be set up in remote locations or on inclined surfaces.


This kind of hybrid thermodynamic solar systemit is scalable and, thanks to its versatility, it can be easily customized for a variety of applications and above all adapting to any type of environment.
