Radiant ceiling panels. There are several types ofradiant panels, all with the function ofheating / coolingof the building and all with a certain energy efficiency linked to the insulating layer that accompanies them. THEradiant panelsthat can be incorporated into the construction of a building are various:
- Radiant floor panels
- Wall radiant panels
- Baseboard radiant panels
- Radiant ceiling panels, classic or radiant radiant panels
THEradiant ceiling panelsthey are divided into two different classes, in fact we have iradiant ceiling panelsproperly called and the radiant panels. THEradiant ceiling panelsthey are generally made up of metal or plasterboard modules of various shapes that are fixed to the ceiling to "mask" the pipes, in fact it is very rare the case in which the pipes are "drowned" (incorporated) directly into the structure of the floor. So iradiant ceiling panelsthey can be:
-panels placed above the pipes
-panels that incorporate the pipes
- pipes drowned directly in the attic
- radiant heat
The radiant panels are applied in very large environments and / or with significant heights (warehouses, warehouses, industrial sheds, factories ...). Theradiant panelsthey differ from the classicsradiant ceiling panelsdue to their limited surface area and high operating temperatures that can reach hundreds of degrees.
On the contrary, iradiant ceiling panelsthey are mainly used for the cooling of the room, in fact we are talking aboutcold ceilings.
THEradiant ceiling panelsmost common are represented by modules that incorporate piping. The pipes are connected to each other directly or by means of manifolds. Just as seen with the wall and floor radiant panels, also in this case the pipes are separated from the substrate (in this case from the ceiling) by a layer of insulation to prevent heat dispersion upwards.
The modules are equipped with fixing clips and can have a smooth or corrugated surface.
Radiant ceiling panels Advantages
If for iwall radiant panelsand iradiant floor panelsthere is the problem related to the furniture (bulky furniture can hinder the passage of heat and cold air), withradiant ceiling panelsthis problem does not arise. In addition, the aceilingit is easier to install thanradiant floor panels.
THEradiant ceiling panelsthey are particularly suitable forcool downthe rooms but they are a little less so to provide home heating: the effecthot head effectit imposes the limit of not being able to exceed certain temperatures in order not to create uncomfortable situations by excessively heating the upper part of the thing and consequently, the head of its inhabitants. Anatomically, the temperature of the head should be lower than that of the lower limbs, for this reason iradiant ceiling panelsthey are best used for the preparation ofcold ceilings.
