WARNING: do not use aluminum molds, it is a metal that reacts with soap, altering its characteristics and making it very difficult to extract it.

DIY soap bars, recipe

  1. Cut the peel of two lemons or two oranges into small pieces, then pour the pieces into the blender, adding a cup of water
  2. Blend the contents at maximum speed until the mixture is uniform then pour it into a large steel pot
  3. Cut a 300 gram piece of pure Marseille soap into flakes, using a grater
  4. Pour the flakes into the pan with the previously prepared cream and mix
  5. Place in a bain-marie and leave to cook covered for about 15 minutes, stirring gently from time to time
  6. As soon as you notice that the soap softens, add spoons of extra virgin olive oil, a spoonful of essential oil of the perfume you like and stir for a long time to mix everything well
  7. Sprinkle the molds with talc and pour the freshly prepared soap into the molds
  8. Wait for the soap to solidify before taking it out of the molds
  9. Place the soap bars on a sheet of white tissue paper and leave to dry away from direct sources of heat for 5 or 6 days, taking care to turn them upside down often so that they dry evenly.

How to make soap at home with ready-to-use kits
