How to take care of the lawn in the summer

We are in the middle of summer, a very delicate season for our turf. In this regard, we will show you how tending the lawn in summer following all the useful indications based on the characteristics of your turf.

Maintain your lawn in the summer, irrigation
A big risk factor is humidity: this condition favors the proliferation of molds and fungal diseases.
Generally the lawn (obviously not valid for all types of lawn) has an optimal development at a temperature between 5 and 25 degrees, therefore in case of excessive heat it tends to suffer.
In these cases, the first thing to do is water abundantly and constantly.
But be careful: it is good to specify that it is necessary to intervene less often but by wetting the earth well, rather than irrigating often with little water. The best times to irrigate are early in the morning or in the evening, however the hottest hours should be avoided, since the sun favors a sudden evaporation of the water.
But make sure that there is excellent drainage of the soil, otherwise it means that a perfect job has not been done upstream: is the type of soil the right one?

Maintain your lawn in the summer, lawn mowing
Mowing the lawn must also be done, intervening regularly, once or twice a week depending on the growth rate of the turf.
In any case, we avoid shortening the grass excessively, to prevent the beating sun from causing burns. Once the grass has been cut, it is good to collect it in order to prevent fungi or molds from forming

To intensify the root system, we can apply a good fertilizer. Other work to do is to get rid of the weeds.
