Formula E Grand Prix, the calendar


There Formula E Grand Prix is the car competition dedicated to electric traction vehicles. The "electric motors" category of Formula E was born in 2012 but the first championship is scheduled for this 2014. On the occasion of the first championship of Formula E different urban circuits will be used. There will be a race on the Montecarlo circuit and forFormula E Grand Prix ad hoc tracks have been created such as the Beijing circuit shown in the photo above.

There Formula E Grand Prix will start in September 2014 while the end of the championship is scheduled for June 2015: contrary to what happens with the Formula 1, the Greatd Prix dedicated to electric cars it does not take place within the same calendar year but between two years.

The operational headquarters ofFormula E Grand Prixhas already been announced and the team's facilities will be located within the circuits of the Donington Park Racing Circuit in the UK.

Among the cars that will take part in the Formula E Grand Prix the single-seater also appears Spark-Renault SRT_01E. The Spark-Renault tests have already been carried out on the La Ferté Gaucher circuit in France. Driven by Lucas di Grassi, the Spark Renault completed 40 laps in two days. For these tests, the car was equipped with a small battery, with a maximum power of the car of only 50kW, a quarter of the 200kw max (270hp). which the car will have in competition.
